That is correct! Unfortunately that is not correct... This total is calculated by multiplying the total number of reimbursable lunch meals by the per-meal amount. This program is an umbrella term for all the programs that oversee the distribution of food to schools and institutions across the nation. The USDA purchases excess food from farmers as a way of helping American agriculture while also ensuring children are fed. This is one of the two types of meal reimbursement that sponsors participating in both NSLP and FDP receive.
